TRB Webinar: Senior Leadership’s Role in Embedding Transportation Resilience

It is crucial that executive management and emergency response planners at state transportation agencies (DOTs) work together. TRB will host a webinar on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 2:00-3:30 PM Eastern that will provide guidance for DOT senior executives about how to embed resilience into transportation planning. Presenters will share ways they have minimized the impact of and avoided potential disruptions. They will discuss implications and dimensions of resilience in transportation agencies and explain how to incorporate these approaches within an agency.

This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Passenger Intermodal Facilities. It also refers to NCHRP Research Report 525: A Guide to Emergency Response Planning at State Transportation Agencies.

The first 60 minutes of the webinar will be for presentations and the final 30 minutes will be reserved for audience questions.

Professional Development Hour Information

Professional engineers (PEs) who register and attend the entire webinar as an individual will be awarded 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs). TRB’s webinar program awards PDH credits only to the registered individual, and not to other members of a group that view the webinar together.
